We aimed to catch the visitor's eye from the very first moment of interaction. E-sports is a rapidly growing industry. And, once we took the target audience into consideration, we knew we had to develop a unique, engaging web design.
If you’re building a website for a sports team, you need to make sure that it serves the main purpose—displaying scores and results. But, we took this project a step further, ensuring that the fans can watch live match transmissions right from their browser.
From an SEO standpoint, a website without frequent content updates might just as well not exist. Every company needs to produce some form of media in order to stay relevant. For Codewise Unicorns, we made sure their team could provide their audience with consistent news and quote updates.
The development of this application was a lengthy process that involved people from both Codewise Unicorns as well as Insane Lab. We discussed, strategized, and came up with a tailor-made solution together.
We designed a website that gives users the ability to choose between one of the three possible match transmissions. We also ensured that the Twitch stream would work without any hiccups. Moreover, we integrated GameState API which enables live text transmissions.
We did everything we could to provide the best experience for gaming fans all over the world. We also placed a strong emphasis on creating a mobile-friendly application, so users can view matches on-the-go. With live text commentary, everyone can enjoy Codwise Unicorns from anywhere.
Combining intuitive, modern, and dynamic design with a back-end engine for live match transmission, we’ve established a new standard for websites of e-gaming teams.

With a proper approach to Responsive Web Design, we created a website that works on every possible device and provides the same level of sophistication across every medium.
We designed the Codewise Unicorns website from scratch (for both mobile and desktop). We also created a live match transmission view design for CS:GO live matches.
For front-end technology, we went with a custom theme that showcased the teams, match schedules, events, live transmissions, and more. This design was based on a Sage 9 boilerplate with modern tech stack.
With a design based on WordPress technology, we were able to allow site administrators to edit every single piece of the website including content, events, matches, results, schedules, live transmissions, and more.
With custom, lightning fast Instagram photo integration and a blog with custom Ajax code, we made the website visually appealing not only from the front-end perspective, but from the back-end, as well. Moreover, the entire site is equipped with only nine plug-ins, making it super light on both desktop and mobile.
Lastly, custom integration for CS:GO Gamestate protocol allows the website to fetch the live data stream directly from CS:GO matches. The data is also transmitted to a Node.js server.
